Pete Ross grew up in one of the densest and most rapidly developing cities in the world. Captivated by the constant evolving city, Pete was drawn towards architecture and its relation with people during a time of change and political uncertainty as the island struggled to find its identity. His artwork has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions and art fairs in Hong Kong.

"Statues in Hong Kong are sometimes passed by, lost within the city they stand. Yet if we stop and look closely we see hundreds of stories etched into them: The weathering of storms, the blessings in prayer, the hardships in conflict and the love in peace. As foo dogs they protect from bad spirits and as statues they document our past - they become silent sentinels, guardians of the city both culturally and historically. "
